My Weekend Adventures

This past weekend, I was able to have a little getaway vacation with my sisters and parents in St. George, Utah. Ryan took 3 days off of work to stay at home and watch the kids (minus Kaden since I'm his food supply) while I went. My brother-in-law graciously offered his frequent flier miles to get me out there and we had SO MUCH FUN!

I was a little nervous to fly with Kaden. What an adventure. Of course I was about the last one on the plane because the airline had to do a seat shuffle because I had Kaden with me. As I walked on, I could just see the terror in the other passengers eyes, "please don't let her sit next to me...please don't let her sit next to me." As it turns out, my seat was next to a rather large (overflowing into my small seat) business man. Great. I'm sure he was cursing under his breath and I was dissappointed that I wasn't next to a sweet lady that would be simpatethic. As it turns out Kaden slept the entire flight and I was wiping my brow. The large business man and I had a one liner converstaion at the end of the flight. In a monotone voice the man said "He was a good boy." I replied back, "Thanks. I was a little nervous." That was that.

What would a vacaction be without shopping? Ryan has told me over and over that he hates shopping with me. I never buy anything for me because I don't feel like I can justify the purchase. Plus, I'm too indesisive. It's much better shopping with my sisters because they are all trendy and cute and can find things for me that I probably would have left on the hanger.

We had a great time laughing...lots of laughing (and yes I did spit milk out all over the floor), playing games, reading, swimming and enjoying each others company. It was so sad when it was time to go home, but I was happy to see my little family again after being gone for 5 days. Ryan even had the whole house clean for when I got home. He even mopped the kitchen floor. Heck, I don't even do that on a regular basis! Ryan confessed that they went out to McDonalds 3 times while I was gone. I guess I was really missed.

So I'm back into the swing of things at home. Laundry, dishes, cleaning, and dinners. Isn't it nice to getaway every now and again. Next vacation I want to be with Ryan. Any takers to watch my kiddos? Ha Ha. I know that's funny...
