What's wrong with this picture?

Going to the temple. What do we need?
Temple recommend: check.
Temple bag: check.
Suit: check.
Tie and belt: check.
Shoes: Oops.

We got about 2 hours into the trip to Boise when Ryan realized that he forgot his shoes. I mentioned that he looked just like an NBA player on draft day for sure. All he needed was a hat!

For the love of the game

Living in a small town, I wasn't sure if there would be a community sports program. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they do! Ryan has always wanted the boys to be involved in many different sports so when basketball came around, we signed them up. Only problem was, there needed to be a volunteer coach and nobody wanted to do it. So rather than just not having a team this year, Ryan stepped up and volunteered. The boys loved having Ryan as a coach and even though we ended the season only winning one game, I could tell the boys learned a lot and had fun.

Faster than a speeding pickle

The Pinewood Derby. What a day to remember. Ryan was called to be the cubmaster in our ward. (You can laugh. I did!) But oh my. What a lot of work. There were banners to make, a track to set up, refreshments to serve, brackets to fill out, trophies to make, and most of all: one fast car to cut out for Josh to paint and race. We're procrastinators at our house. Thus the need for the hairdryer to dry the paint at the last second. But the night seemed like a success.

We had some fast contenders. One of which was a pickle on wheels. But in the end Josh proved the fastest and won 1st place! Way to go Josh.

Oh Baby

Oh Baby, I finally figured out how to put my pictures onto my makeshift laptop. You know, the laptop that has keys missing and a CDrom drive that doesn't work, but hey, the internet works about half the time and that's all that matters! I have a bundle of posts just waiting. Sure they're all way old, but better late than never I'd say!

Snow Days

Yep, I guess when you live in the mountains, you get plenty of snow. I was even told that this year was a very mild snow year. Yuck. But the kids had a blast playing in it. For Christmas they got all the gear so we sent them out to explore the supposed greatness of winter.

We have a hill out front that even I, the hater of winter, went sledding down a few times. Unfortunately, grandpa made a jump on the hill. The boys nicknamed it the "nightmare." My rear end didn't fare so well. I steered clear of the nightmare after that. But fun memories were made.
