My 100th post

As a tribute to my 100th post, here are 100 interesting facts about me. It's long. Read at your own risk. It was kind of fun to write. Here we go:

1. My sister and I liked to pretend that we were twins when we were younger.
2. My favorite ice cream is chocolate chip mint. Does anyone remember when it was called star light mint?
3. I'm seriously addicted to all kinds of sweets and chocolate.
4. I hide my chocolate stash from my children.
5. I picked up the chocolate hiding trait from my mother.
6. I'm a fan of BYU sports.
7. I once memorized the BYU football roster so that I could impress my hubby.
8. I hate watching baseball. Much too slow.
9. I grew up in Utah and never once went skiing.
10. Or for that matter, been to a real live session of General Conference.
11. I was a CNA
12. Growing up I wanted to be a doctor...this was back in the days when ER had just started on TV and I thought it was so cool.
13. My math teacher thought that I was so smart in math and moved me up a year. So I got a 1/2 a year of algebra and 1/2 a year of geometry. Umm, anyone who knows me well, knows that math isn't my strong suit.
14. I did great in Biology in high school. Expect those 3 chapters of chemistry. I bombed those chapters.
15. Needless to say, I never took chemistry in high school or college.
16. My least favorite subject in school was English. I never got the whole symbolism thing and writing papers were torture.
17. My spelling is atrocious. Thank goodness for spell check.
18. I really liked PE because I liked playing sports, but running, sit-ups and pull-ups just weren't my thing.
19. I can't juggle
20. I've had the same hair style for like 25 years.
21. I once snorted orange pop up my nose...ouch. I wouldn't recommend it.
22. I had an angry phase. I would stomp down the hall and slam doors. It drove my parents crazy.
23. I once drank tons and tons of black cherry cool-aid and pretended that I was pregnant.
24. Then I threw it all up after jumping on the trampoline.
25. I've taken a trip to Puerto Rico.
26. On the above trip, we ate at Pizza Hut. There were little tiny bugs flying everywhere and tons more dead ones all over the table. Pretty nasty.
27. I played soccer for 3 years.
28. I never scored a single goal while I played. I always played defense.
29. When I was younger, I was considered the "strong one" of the family. Not so much anymore.
30. I was asked to be an undercover journalist for our school newspaper. I never had any great stories. I'm not snoopy enough.
31. I'm a rule follower. Always have been and probably always will be.
32. I've never been pulled over for speeding.
33. I'm really freaky about being in the correct lane when driving like a mile before the exit.

43. Neither am I a night person. I fall asleep watching movies all the time.
44. I love root beer and am distraught that a lot of fast food joints don't offer that anymore.
45. Mostly I just drink lots and lots of water. My favorite.
46. I got "pulled over" in the high school driving range while learning how to drive a stick shift. I guess since it was after 11:00 pm the police thought that we shouldn't be there.
47. I hate it when my cupboard doors are left open. It drives me crazy.
48. I had a really big yellow van growing up. I nicknamed it "The Big Yellow Banana."
49. I embarrass very easily.
50. I was embarrassed about our big yellow van.
51. I love the Carpenters and Harpers Bazaar.
52. I don't mind doing the dishes or doing laundry but I hate, hate, hate putting it all away.
53. Thus most of the time, you have to pull the clean clothes out of the dryer because they never get put away.
54. Did I mention that I hate to iron?
55. I guess I'm pretty lazy.
56. My family sings Happy Birthday in like 4 part harmony.
57. All the brother-in-laws hate to sing with us because 1-they think that we are weird because we harmonize or 2-are afraid that they will ruin it.

62. I like Canadian bacon and pineapple on my pizza, but I never get it because my hubby likes "the works."
63. I like to paint...not pictures. I'm terrible at those. I'm talking about walls.
64. I'm terrible at picking the paint color for my walls though. The color in my head and the color on the little square at Home Depot seem to match pretty well, but when I get it on the wall, it's not quite what I'd pictured.
65. Right now I really like the color pink...not for my walls, just the color in general.
66. Every summer when we were younger, we would drive to California to visit my grandparents.
67. As I recall, we didn't have air conditioning in the "big yellow banana" so we always had wet bandanas wrapped around our necks. And we always had gobstoppers, runts, and jolly ranchers to suck on.
68. I don't like fish. I'm getting better at eating and liking shrimp, but I still can't handle trout or halibut.
69. When I was pregnant with Ethan, I craved ice. Just ice and it was so good.
70. I hate winter. I hate the snow, cold and the ice.
71. I freak out when I have to drive in the snow. Maybe that's why we moved to Texas.
72. I like to take long walks around the neighborhood and look at how people have done their landscaping.
73. I think I'm fairly handy around the house.
74. I wish I was more creative.
75. I'm pretty shy and tend to spend a lot of time at home.

77. I care too much about what other people think and I worry way too much.
78. I really like to read.
79. My Dad taught me how to wire an electrical outlet. I'm not sure that I would dare do it today.

81. I never fell asleep in class in high school. College was another story. How can you expect to stay awake in a 7:30 am class where the teacher turned off all the lights and lectored with a projector everyday?
82. I don't think that I got a very good grade in that class.
83. I did get good grades in high school.
84. I did really crappy on my ACT though. I'm not a good test taker.
85. Surprise, surprise. I wasn't a big flirt in school.
86. I really didn't consider myself a nerd either. Was I?

91. I always black out for just a second whenever I go on an amusement park ride that has loops.
92. I fainted once when I was trying to give blood. OK, I'll admit it. I fainted when they pricked my finger to see if I even could give blood. How embarrassing.
93. I'm really not that squeamish. I've had blood drawn tons of times without problems.
94. I had thyroid problems when I was a teenager.
95. I always prided myself that I never had any cavities. I cried when I found out that I had my first one. (I'm not sure why!)
96. Now, I have way more than just the one cavity.
97. I hate the dentist. Who doesn't?
98. When I was little, little, my Mom said that she found me once climbed up on top of the fridge.
99. I also pulled the Christmas tree over three times one year. My parents had to tie the tree to the banister. I think the string is still there.
100. If you're still with me, wow. That's impressive. It took me two full days to think of all these things. I'm glad that I'm done. Aren't you?

That was so much fun to read. I think I got to know you better through your 100th post, than I did our whole year as roomates. I think that is because I was too busy dating Aaron and you were to busy dating Ryan.

I loved reading! I remember the orange soda up the nose - it did really hurt! I knew you had fast labors but your longest was 4 hours? Seriously unfair!
