A strange child

Josh told me tonight that my dinner smelled good...but...it was a little slanty. Ryan and I both looked at each other with raised eyebrows. What the heck does that even mean? When questioned, Josh didn't have an answer either. Just that it was slanty. Whatever. What a strange child I have.

Muddy phone calls

So why is it that on days when I decide not to get dressed and I lounge around at home that the school calls and says, "You need to bring Josh a new outfit. He's covered in mud." Great. So no shower, no makeup, throw on some jeans and a t-shirt and brave the rain to the school.

Really though what is a boy to do when he is the soccer goalie? Let all the balls get by so he'll stay clean? I detest mud. But I guess boys are different. Being covered in mud is manly and cool. I just hope that after the next recess, I don't get another call...but hey, at least I'm dressed.

Wanna know what's truly sad?

We have the old, original Nintendo version of The Legend of Zelda. The boys beg for my help. And you know what? I still remember where all the levels are and where to find the hidden rooms...even after all these years. Pretty sad huh? And it gets worse...I'm getting sucked in. Ryan makes fun of me for playing even after the boys go to sleep. Well, a girl has to do something with her time. Never mind that the laundry and vacuuming isn't done. That can wait...
