Snow Days

Yep, I guess when you live in the mountains, you get plenty of snow. I was even told that this year was a very mild snow year. Yuck. But the kids had a blast playing in it. For Christmas they got all the gear so we sent them out to explore the supposed greatness of winter.

We have a hill out front that even I, the hater of winter, went sledding down a few times. Unfortunately, grandpa made a jump on the hill. The boys nicknamed it the "nightmare." My rear end didn't fare so well. I steered clear of the nightmare after that. But fun memories were made.

That looks like so much fun!!! Remember riding on the back of the "moto" when Amber's dad would shovel the neighborhood walks? How fun to be a kid in the cold winter.

I hate winter too!

It makes me want to sing that song from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers...you know the part where it says "April showers will come, so they say...but they don't...and it's May!" And the poor brides-to-be are looking sadly out the window at the snow covering the ground in May.

Hang in there! Spring will come!

At least your kids are having a blast!

Their snowsuits make them look like Randy in "A Christmas Story." "I can't put my arms down!"
