I love springtime. My favorite is when I can plant flowers. Abby is my faithful assistant. She even has her own plastic hand shovel and rake.

Abby's favorite thing to do was not to dig in the dirt like I thought, but rather to get shovelfuls of potting soil and put them into my pots. She was a great help there. We also saw several bugs and worms. Abby was very curious about our little ant pile that we dug up.

After awhile, she got bored of the flower thing so she ventured into the closet and starting pulling out hats, gloves and boots. Oh boy. It wasn't that cold outside. Yes a tad windy, but not enough to warrant hats and gloves!

And of course this is what Kaden was doing while I was planting. He had a grand time playing outside and exploring the grass (and trying to eat it too.) He also got bored of the flower thing and starting wailing. Lucky for me, Ryan was home on vacation due to Good Friday so he played with the little guy until I was able to get finished.

I just hope that all my flowers don't die this year. I love to garden and have a nice yard, but I'm not a great gardener so my grass still has weeds and some of my flowers die. I'm going to be really good at watering this year. I figured out that I have to water some areas by hand because the sprinklers just don't hit there. Lesson learned from last year. I'm going out to admire my work. Is that just me, or do other people do that too? After I've done something like that, I keep checking it out. Just a weird little quirk about me, I guess.

cute, cute photos!! i wish it was warm enough to plant stuff here!
I love your lilies! They are my favorite! I wish I was ready to plant flowers as well. I am here admiring my daffodils and tulips though. They are still looking good although the daffodils are getting ready to be done and the tulips are trying to come out. It's called spreading out the color.
Beautiful flowers! I would go out and admire it all too. I'm so excited to have a yard this summer so I can plant a garden and go and admire it too. Don't you love the growing season in Texas? I miss fall in Utah, but I love the early Spring here.
How fun!!! I wish the weather was nice enough here to plant flowers. We just got a foot of snow last night!!!grrr... Anyway...I love to admire my own work too... so your not so wierd!
What a cute face that Kaden has. Sweet little ones, sweeter than all the flowers.
I totally go outside a TON after I've done planting-- so I'm with you on that one.
