So I've decided that having a pre-made gingerbread house kit is the way to go! A few years back, we tried to make a fake gingerbread house out of graham crackers and well.....it didn't turn out so good. This year the house went together great and the kids had a great time snitching the candy and frosting and we had a wonderful time. Much more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about the roof caving in!

We do that every year too, my mother in law used to make them, and they were nice, but so much more work.
Your family is so cute.
My Tyler & Kendra were the ones eating all the icing too.
And you know what is even easier than that? There are kits where the house is already completely put together and all you have to do is decorate. I like those ones! :) But they are a lot harder to find. Looks like you guys had a great time. Sounds like a great new tradition. Did you let them sleep under the tree yet?
What a cute tradition. I wish I did more things like that for my kids
Iwanted to do that this year but by the time I decided to do it Sam's was out of them. I'm sure you can find them other places but I didn't really want to have to hunt. Next year!
I didn't even do sugar cookies this year - so much for family traditions!
How fun...I love making ginger bread houses!!!
Yeah, we love those kits--yours turned out nicer than ours, though. I let the kids do most of the decorating.
