That's a lot of hair!
Abby has been asking me to cut her hair for a little while. I think it all came down to the fact that she hated having me brush it because it was always so tangled. Doing hair always started with her running away, me counting to 3 and her crying while I tried ever so softly to brush out the snarls. She wanted a hair cut like her cousins Katie and Adeline. Short and sweet. Well, tonight I gave in and cut away. I seriously tried not to cry. The worst part was when she asked if you could put hair back on once it had been cut off. I about died. Umm no, I told her. It's gone. But it'll grow back fast. She seemed to accept that answer and says that she likes it a lot. As of right now, she's bounding around the living room with a smile on her face. I hope that tomorrow she'll feel the same way.

So cute! I can't believe you dared do that yourself. I am scared to death of cutting the girls hair. The boys, I will do but the girls scare me.
I need to do something similar with Allison especially. I don't know what she does while she is sleeping but she always wakes up with a rats nest in her hair. We have a lot of screaming at our house when it is time to brush hair as well.
It looks so cute. Like Katie said, you are daring. The only thing I will cut is bangs :)

WOW!!! Super cute but super sad all at the same time...I loved Abby's hair.
Lilian's hair is constantly a mess these days, and so thin because of her little incident with the razor. But I don't dare cut it short because right now the longer hair will hide the bald and thin spots better than short hair.
It'll be interesting to see if Abby decides she wants to continue to keep her hair shorter or if, after the novelty wears off, she decides to grow it out long again.
holy cow, when i saw how much was cut off I expected it to be much shorter - it's still fairly long - well, medium. and very cute. Good job.
it looks really cute! she looks older somehow with short hair. she is adorable either way! after bailey had to have hers cut she was ready to grow it out again. :)
You did such a great job! Her hair looks so cute! I'm impressed that you were able to do it yourself. I would have been too scared, because I KNOW I would have screwed up. I can't cut my boys' hair very well and Jeremiah and I always do it as a team effort!
